The National Insurance Institute of Israel (Bituah Leumi) has published an updated schedule of benefits and grants for August 2026. Unemployment and minimum income benefits will be paid on August 12, child allowances on August 20, and the main package of payments (to veterans, disability, loss of breadwinner, etc.) on August 27 due to a postponement from Friday. The reporting deadline for self-employed and employers is August 13. Since the beginning of the year, the average benefit amount has risen to 5,280 shekels due to indexation of 2.64%.

The reporting and contribution payment deadline for self-employed and employers has been moved from August 15 to August 13 due to the date falling on Saturday. Child allowances will be paid on August 20. The main package of payments, including benefits for veterans, loss of breadwinner, disability, disabled children, people with severe limitations, mobility, compensation for work injuries, alimony payments, rehabilitation benefits, care payments, former prisoners of war, and victims of hostilities, will be transferred on August 27 (postponed from Friday, August 28). The notice notes that since the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has risen to approximately 5,280 shekels thanks to indexation of 2.64%.
