Bituah Leumi changes payment schedule — money will arrive earlier

Bituah Leumi has adjusted the September payment schedule, moving disbursements to earlier dates due to the Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot holidays. Unemployment and subsistence allowance recipients will receive their payments on September 8 instead of September 14. Long-term benefits will be transferred on September 22 instead of September 28.

Bituah Leumi (Israel's National Insurance Institute) announced a change to the benefit payment schedule for September 2026. The decision is linked to the approaching Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot. The payment shift will affect a wide range of recipients. Unemployment and subsistence allowance payments, originally scheduled for September 14, will now be paid on September 8 — six days earlier. Long-term benefits, including payments to the elderly, people with disabilities, children with disabilities, survivors' benefits, care and mobility allowances, as well as alimony and payments to those injured at work, will be transferred on September 22 instead of September 28. Bituah Leumi explained that the change is intended to give recipients the opportunity to prepare in advance for additional holiday expenses.
