Israel's National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) moved up the payment of several August benefits to August 27 instead of the 28th because the 28th falls on a Friday. Israel's National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) accelerated the payment of August benefits. The money will reach recipients' accounts on Thursday, August 27, a day earlier than the scheduled date of August 28, which falls on a Friday. The early transfer will affect a wide range of payments: old-age benefits, survivors' benefits, disability benefits, payments for a disabled child, special services benefits for people with severe disabilities, mobility payments, compensation for work-related injuries, alimony, rehabilitation payments, benefits for Zion prisoners, and care payments. In addition, payments to people affected by hostile actions are expected to be transferred on the same day. Earlier in August, unemployment benefits and minimum income support payments (August 12) and child benefits (August 20) were transferred. It is noted that since the beginning of the year, average payment amounts have increased due to the rise in the consumer price index — by a maximum of 2.64%. After the latest indexation, the average amount of all types of benefits is about 5,280 shekels.
