Maariv pollster Dr. Menachem Lazar analyzed the results of the latest mandates poll and stated that "the trends have been halted": the decline of Naftali Bennett, the rise of Gadi Eisenkot, and the significant fall of Likud have stopped. According to him, in the past week additional parties have entered the "third bloc," which do not commit to a particular side. Apart from the Reservists list headed by Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel, which passes the electoral threshold but without a significant safety margin, the other lists do not pass the threshold and "burn" about five mandates. Lazar recalled that in the 2022 elections more than ten mandates went down the drain, which determined the outcome. He estimated that the Likud primaries next week and the closure in September might lead to unions. The big drama is expected from the Arab sector: a union of Hadash-Ta'al and Balad and the addition of a Jewish candidate to Ra'am raised the parties from 11 to 14 mandates, and everything depends on the turnout rate. Shas continues to stagnate around seven mandates, due to discontent among Haredi and traditional voters.
