Bennett attacks: 'Boasts that his grandchildren are draft dodgers'

He directly named Aryeh Deri and Moshe Gafni, accusing Deri of encouraging draft evasion: 'He went around and called on young Haredim, including those who do not study Torah, and told them: "Do not go to serve."' Bennett also said that a person who boasts that his grandchildren evade service cannot be part of the government. Separately, he spoke about settler violence, emphasizing that a minority of about 550,000 Israelis in Judea and Samaria break the law, and the law must be applied against them with a firm hand. He also answered affirmatively when asked if he considers violent acts by Jews to be Jewish terrorism. Bennett presented a plan to lower the cost of living, pointing to economic concentration and lack of competition, citing Strauss and Unilever as examples. He spoke about his trip to the north, calling the situation in Kiryat Shmona a disaster, and about his new daily routine, which includes visiting a draft office.
