Ben Gvir incites to continue assassinations and displacement in Gaza

The extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir attacked the draft agreement for the second phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, considering it "unacceptable" for Israel, and incited to continue assassination operations and the displacement of Palestinians. This came in a post on the X platform on Friday, in which he rejected the draft published by the "Peace Council" regarding the implementation of the second phase. This attack comes after US President Donald Trump and the Peace Council announced an agreement to implement the next phase, and the Council announced that Hamas had agreed to a detailed roadmap. Hamas said that Israel's stopping the killing of Palestinians and ending its attacks represent the basic entry point and the first step towards proceeding with the implementation of the second phase, and setting a framework and timetable for understandings. Ben Gvir vowed that "after October 7, 2023, the blood of every Hamas man is on his head," calling for the continuation of assassination operations in Gaza and encouraging migration. According to a Hamas statement, it and the Palestinian factions dealt "responsibly and positively" with the negotiation process and the mediators' proposals, and stressed that the implementation of the second phase is conditional on the occupation's commitment to implementing all provisions of the first phase. The first phase began on October 10, 2025, and included a ceasefire, prisoner exchange, and expansion of aid, but Israel continued bombing, restricted aid entry, and increased its field control over about 70% of the Strip's area.
