National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir revealed this morning (Monday) in an interview with Radio 103FM that Shin Bet head David Zini told him he should receive the Israel Prize for his actions in prisons. According to Ben Gvir, 'It's time you understood that what you laugh at, the terrorists wet themselves at night. It's time you understood that this disdain for pitas and crocodiles is what we have disdained for 78 years of the state's existence.' He described a situation where terrorists play ping pong with meat coolers nearby, and claimed that 'the whole concept was that it pays to be a terrorist. Itamar Ben Gvir came, he wasn't an army general, wasn't an officer, and today there is no one, including the Shin Bet chief, who doesn't come to me and say, "You and Kobi Yaakobi should receive the Israel Prize for what you did in prisons."' Later, Ben Gvir explained his opposition to cooperation with the Peace Council in Gaza, and called for a decisive outcome while encouraging emigration and opposing Hamas. He added that he has influenced the Prime Minister over the past two and a half years, and that his presence in the cabinet leads a militant line.
