Ben-Gurion Airport is preparing for one of the busiest months of the year. According to the Israel Airports Authority forecast, about 2.6 million passengers will pass through the country's main air gateway in August, and on some days the daily passenger flow will approach 100,000 people. It is expected that 47 airlines will operate flights. The most popular destinations will be Greece, Cyprus, Italy, UAE, USA, and Germany. On most weekdays, between 90,000 and 95,000 passengers will pass through the terminals. Peak loads are forecast for August 6, 13, 17, 20, and 27. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure, complete online check-in in advance, check the departure terminal, and confirm the schedule. To reduce waiting time, they are advised to use self-service kiosks. Passengers with hand luggage and prior check-in can use the W complex. It is also recommended to reach the airport by public transport. Reservists were reminded to check their luggage for bullets and ammunition. The Authority warned of possible queues during peak hours but assured that all units are operating in an enhanced mode.
