Ben-Gurion Airport is experiencing one of the most intense periods of the summer season. According to forecasts by the Israel Airports Authority, about 2.6 million passengers will pass through the country's main air gateway in August. The busiest day of the month will be August 6, when the airport is expected to handle about 101,000 people on arriving and departing flights—a record figure since the start of the summer season. Dates when passenger flow will again reach maximum values have also been named: August 13, 17, 20, and 27. During the month, 47 airlines will operate flights at Ben-Gurion, including Israeli and foreign carriers serving dozens of international destinations. Due to the expected influx of passengers, the airport administration recommends arriving at least three hours before departure, completing online check-in in advance, checking the departure terminal, and ensuring that the departure time has not changed. Additional difficulties may arise for motorists: the 'Kerem' and 'Pardes' parking lots are already full, and in the coming days there remains a possibility of high occupancy at other lots. Those coming only to meet or see off passengers are advised to use the short-term parking lot, where the first hour is free. If possible, they recommend avoiding a private car and using Israel Railways trains, which continue to run to the terminals.
