Beitar Illit resident accused of attacking Palestinians and animal cruelty
The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against 21-year-old Yedidya Kaufman from Beitar Illit. He is accused of animal cruelty, racially motivated assault, and other crimes. According to the indictment, Kaufman beat activists who tried to prevent him from illegally entering Palestinian homes, and also ran over a flock of sheep belonging to a Palestinian shepherd with his jeep.

According to the indictment, Kaufman committed several acts of violence in Samaria while volunteering on a farm. In one incident, he allegedly punched and kicked activists who tried to prevent him from illegally entering Palestinian homes. In another case, the accused drove his jeep at high speed directly into a flock of sheep belonging to a Palestinian shepherd. He ran over the animals and then refused to move the vehicle, despite the sheep remaining trapped under the wheels.
