Behind a baby seat, inside a speaker: how an illegal resident was found at a Jerusalem checkpoint

Border Police officers from the Jerusalem Envelope and checkpoints arrested an illegal resident who was hiding inside a speaker in the trunk of a vehicle at a checkpoint. The speaker raised suspicion, and upon inspection, a person was found inside, behind a baby in a designated seat. The driver is suspected of transporting him. In the past week, about 460 illegal residents and over 60 suspects of transporting, housing, and employing them were arrested.

During the vehicle inspection, the officers noticed a speaker placed in the trunk in a manner that aroused their suspicion. A thorough check revealed that the speaker's side was concealed behind a baby sitting in a designated seat in the vehicle, and inside it, the illegal resident was found. The resident and the driver, who is suspected of transporting him, were transferred for further investigation at the Investigations and Intelligence Office of the Jerusalem Envelope Border Police. The police noted that during the past week, the corps' officers arrested about 460 illegal residents and over 60 additional suspects on suspicion of transporting, housing, and employing them.
