Awqaf: Registration for Gaza Pilgrims to Open Soon

The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs announced the opening of registration for the Hajj season of 1448 AH/2027 AD in the northern governorates via the electronic system (tawaf.ps) from 18/8/2026 to 27/8/2026. It also indicated that the official announcement for registration for residents of the Gaza Strip is imminent and will be made through its official platforms soon. It confirmed that the licensing conditions for Hajj and Umrah companies will be determined later. Since the Israeli genocide on Gaza in October 2023, 78 Hajj and Umrah companies in the Strip have ceased operations, incurring losses of millions of dollars.

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs announced the opening of registration for the Hajj season of 1448 AH/2027 AD in all northern governorates, via the electronic Hajj system through the icon (tawaf.ps), starting from Tuesday, 18/8/2026, until the end of working hours on Thursday, 27/8/2026. The ministry also announced, in a statement on Monday, that the official announcement of opening registration for the new Hajj season for residents of the southern governorates (Gaza Strip) is imminent and will be launched through the ministry's official platforms in the near future. It confirmed that the announcement of procedures and conditions for licensing Hajj and Umrah companies to operate for this season will be determined later, calling on citizens from the southern governorates wishing to perform the ritual to obtain information from official statements issued by the ministry and the Hajj Committee once published. Since the Israeli genocide on Gaza in October 2023, 78 companies specialized in Hajj and Umrah in the Gaza Strip have almost completely ceased operations, and the Association of Owners of Hajj and Umrah Companies announced that they have incurred losses of millions of dollars due to the disruption of travel for Umrah performers and pilgrims from the Strip.
