Authority: 25 Martyrs in Settler Attacks Since Start of Year

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority revealed that 87 Palestinians have been martyred as a result of settler attacks between 2019 and August 21, 2026, including 25 martyrs since the beginning of this year. It has counted 61 martyrs since October 7, 2023 alone. The annual sequence shows a sharp increase in the number of martyrs, with this year being the highest in the series. Ramallah and al-Bireh topped the record with 36 martyrs, followed by Nablus with 26. The number of child martyrs under 18 reached 12.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority revealed that 87 Palestinians have been martyred as a result of settler attacks between the beginning of 2019 and August 21, 2026, including 25 martyrs since the start of this year. It counted 61 martyrs since October 7, 2023 alone, which is slightly more than 70% of all cases recorded during the entire period. The annual sequence shows a sharp shift in the level of killing: two martyrs were recorded in 2019, one martyr in 2020, five in 2021, six in 2022, before the number jumped to 23 martyrs in 2023. Eleven martyrs were recorded in 2024 and 14 in 2025, while the number reached 25 martyrs in less than eight months of 2026, making this year the highest in the series so far. The monthly reading reveals concentrated waves of killing; ten martyrs were recorded in October 2023, nine in March 2026, and seven in July of the same year. Geographically, Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate topped the record with 36 martyrs, followed by Nablus with 26 martyrs. The number of child martyrs under 18 reached 12. The authority called on the international community to move from condemnation to accountability.
