Judge Noam Sohlberg rejected this morning (Monday) the position of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, and allowed Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to appear at the police volunteers' "Appreciation Evening." The Attorney General supported a petition seeking to ban Ben Gvir from appearing at the event, arguing that it constitutes use of police resources for election propaganda. Ben Gvir committed not to deliver campaign speeches at the event, and Judge Sohlberg clarified that no party would be permitted to engage in election propaganda at the event. Ben Gvir claimed that the event is "state and professional."
