Rabin was born in 1925 and was an educator and one of the founders of Kibbutz Manara, where she served as the first grade teacher. She was considered a prominent and influential voice in the kibbutz movement in the Upper Galilee. At the beginning of the Iron Swords War, she was evacuated with her friends from the kibbutz, which was suffering daily Hezbollah fire, and has not returned since due to her medical condition. On the 25th anniversary of her brother Yitzhak Rabin's assassination, she said in an interview: "I miss my brother who always took responsibility. The feeling today is that there is no government, no one takes responsibility for anything. There is no leadership today - not on my side and not on the other side." Rachel Rabin Yaakov will be laid to rest on Monday at the cemetery in Manara.
