"Arrogance, detachment and stupidity": Efrat Rayten in a sharp attack on Miri Regev

MK Efrat Rayten sharply attacked Transportation Minister Miri Regev amid the chaos at Ben Gurion Airport, calling her conduct "arrogance, detachment and stupidity." In an interview with 103FM, Rayten backed Yair Golan after the uproar over the strike in Syria, and called for examining his remarks in light of the lack of trust in Prime Minister Netanyahu. She also revealed efforts to integrate Einav Tsengauker into the activities of the Democrats party.

MK Efrat Rayten sharply attacked Transportation Minister Miri Regev in an interview with 103FM, against the backdrop of the chaos at Ben Gurion Airport. "Today I traveled to the western Negev, for a tour and meeting with local council heads. It was so extreme. My journey in traffic jams to the western Negev, and the Transportation Minister who is now in Morocco and the chaos at Ben Gurion Airport. I couldn't feel anything more extreme than what I felt today. Arrogance, detachment and stupidity. Indifference to citizens," Rayten said. Rayten then moved to the political and security arena, after Golan drew criticism for claiming that the Israeli strike in Syria stemmed from political considerations. In her view, his statement should be examined in light of the lack of trust in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "It is not right to view this event in isolation from the lack of trust that I and most citizens of the State of Israel have in Netanyahu. He has failed miserably," she said. Rayten questioned Netanyahu's motives two months before the elections, and warned against regional alliances that Israel is not part of. Rayten was also asked about the Tsengauker controversy, after the latter claimed that Golan promised to reserve her a high spot on the Democrats list. Rayten spoke about a personal conversation with Tsengauker, expressed great appreciation for her, and revealed that she is working to integrate her into the party's activities. "I want her now. I wouldn't wait until October 28. She can be helpful and do wonderful things," she said.
