Armed suspects flee police, hit family car: indictment against two Tel Sheva residents

An indictment was filed against Muhammad Abu Sulb (21) and Ez Abu Asa (18) from Tel Sheva for carrying a Glock pistol without a permit, attempting to flee from police in Be'er Sheva, and hitting a family car. Police fired at the vehicle's tires; one defendant resisted arrest.

The Southern District Attorney's Office today (Sunday) filed an indictment against Muhammad Abu Sulb (21) and Ez Abu Asa (18), residents of Tel Sheva, for carrying and transporting a Glock 19 pistol with a matching magazine without a permit. According to the indictment, in early July the two were traveling in a car in Be'er Sheva. During police activity, officers approached their vehicle after stopping it. Upon noticing the police, they attempted to flee, drove in reverse at speed, and hit a family car. The officers were pushed back and damage was caused to the family car. Due to the danger, an officer fired at the vehicle's tires. After the car stopped, one defendant exited, and the other resisted arrest; an officer had to insert his body into the car and press the brake. The indictment charges them with carrying a weapon, reckless and negligent acts, and obstructing a police officer.
