Singer Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against a group of hackers who allegedly stole her unreleased music, as well as private photos and videos, and sold them online, as reported by Billboard and Hollywood Reporter. The lawsuit is currently filed against "John Doe" since the hackers' identities are unknown. According to the suit filed on Monday, Grande will work to reveal their identities during the legal process "to hold them accountable for their intrusive and indecent conduct." The lawsuit further states that the hackers allegedly managed to breach online accounts of several staff members who worked with Grande. This breach led to the leak of 45 songs in 2023 alone. In one instance, a hacker allegedly posed as a photographer to trick an employee into sending photos of the singer. Additionally, behind-the-scenes footage from recording studios and music video shoots was stolen and sold on the "dark web." "The invasion of Ms. Grande's privacy and the damage to her career have caused her significant and irreparable harm," the lawsuit states. Grande is considered one of the world's most successful pop stars, with seven albums reaching number one or two on US charts and three Grammy awards. Her latest single "Hate That I Made You Love Me" from the new album "Petal," set for release this Friday, ranks third on global Spotify.
