Arab Parliament condemns occupation crimes and calls for urgent international action

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, condemned the continued Israeli crimes against Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, calling on the international community to take urgent measures to stop the escalation and hold those responsible accountable. He considered the targeting of hospitals, homes, and tents of displaced persons a violation of international law, and called for imposing sanctions on the occupation, suspending privileges, and prosecuting officials before the International Criminal Court.

In a press statement, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, condemned the continued crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the city of Jerusalem, calling on the international community to take urgent measures to stop the escalation and hold those responsible accountable. Al-Yamahi considered that targeting hospitals, health facilities, residential homes, and tents of displaced persons, and the resulting casualties among civilians, especially women and children, constitutes a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and UN resolutions. He added that what the Palestinian people are subjected to "is no longer mere violations or abuses, but rather represents organized terrorism, war crimes, and crimes against humanity," considering that continued international silence encourages the occupation to continue its policies. Al-Yamahi called on the international community and the Security Council to act urgently to stop the war in Gaza, implement international legitimacy resolutions, and compel the occupation to implement the ceasefire agreement and move to the second phase of the peace plan, including the permanent cessation of military operations, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the opening of crossings, and ensuring the delivery of aid. He also demanded enabling the government of the State of Palestine to exercise its responsibilities, imposing international sanctions on the occupation, suspending privileges and agreements granted to it, and prosecuting officials before the International Criminal Court.
