Apologize to the Gaza Envelope residents? Minister Shikli: "Those who pushed for Oslo should apologize"

Minister Amichai Shikli was asked whether an apology is owed to the residents of the Gaza Envelope following October 7, and in response he pointed an accusing finger at the promoters of the Oslo Accords and the disengagement, and refused to apologize.

Minister Amichai Shikli of the Likud party was asked this morning in an interview on Kan News whether the residents of the Gaza Envelope deserve an apology following the failures of October 7. Shikli refused to apologize, claiming that the question unfairly blames him. Instead, he pointed an accusing finger at the promoters of the Oslo Accords and the disengagement, asserting that they are the ones who should apologize. Shikli added that he objects to the way things are presented, and that there is a limit to what he is willing to hear from people who, in his view, promoted catastrophes. He acknowledged a severe security failure and dysfunctional systems, but refused to accept personal responsibility.
