Kick It Out, a UK soccer charity, reported a 43% increase in antisemitism reports for the 2025-26 season, with 93 incidents compared to 65 the previous year. Overall discrimination reports hit a record 1,744, continuing a five-year upward trend. The highest number of reports were for racism, sexism, and homophobia. Islamophobia saw the largest percentage increase at 88%, totaling 60 reports. Most antisemitic reports came from social media (35), followed by professional games (31) and grassroots youth soccer (23). The UK Football Policing Unit also recorded rises. Kick It Out noted spikes following the Manchester synagogue attack, a ban on Tel Aviv fans at an Aston Villa game, and the grooming gangs inquiry. CEO Samuel Okafor said discrimination remains 'deeply embedded' but noted increased willingness to report abuse.
