Anger among fighters in Lebanon: 'Critical missions were canceled to search for the girls who crossed the border'

Fighters in the Lebanon sector describe anger over the border crossing by girls, which led to the cancellation of critical operational missions. Forces were scrambled for searches, including a team on a rest day. The IDF confirmed the incident, condemned it, and returned the civilians to Israel.

Fighters operating in the Lebanon sector told 'Hayom' of their anger over the border crossing by girls yesterday (Wednesday). According to them, forces had to stop important operational missions and divert attention to locate the two, who were among the minors that 'hid in the bushes to advance further during the night.' In addition to the forces that were pulled from missions, a team that was on a rest day was also scrambled. The fighters note that in Syria, forces are mainly engaged in routine security, but in Lebanon, most forces are 100% occupied with tough missions and are required to abandon them. In recent months, organizations like 'Pioneers of Bashan' and 'Wake Up North' have been leading border crossings, and the IDF has warned that this diverts attention. The IDF spokesperson said that about 15 civilians crossed, caused damage to the fence, were returned to Israel and handed over to the police, and the IDF condemns the incident as a serious disruption to operational activity.
