Amit Segal: Netanyahu led to a new and first phenomenon in Likud

Segal noted that Erdan could have placed high in the primaries, but leaving Likud now seems contrary to his political interests. He emphasized that Netanyahu's reserved spots are a relatively new phenomenon in Likud, and if people like Yossi Cohen and Gabi Ashkenazi are reserved, it would be a precedent. Segal said that Netanyahu has eight reserved spots: one for Sa'ar, two for attempts to arrange the bloc, and five remain, but in practice four, because the 29th place is not attractive. He referred to Gabi Ashkenazi and said that the feelers could work in both directions. Segal concluded that three right-wing parties are not viable, and compared Ra'am to Shas, saying that Deri and Abbas are similar in their ability to control the agenda.
