Over 390 drones were launched last night (Monday, July 27) toward the Moscow area, against the backdrop of the planned meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump. This was reported by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, most drones were neutralized by air defense systems at a great distance from the city, with 81 drones shot down on their direct approach to Moscow. Governor of the region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported damage to residential buildings in the town of Chekhov and the village of Vaulovo. The current incident comes amid ongoing tensions, following last week when Moscow experienced the largest Ukrainian drone attack since the start of the war, with nearly 200 unmanned vehicles hitting various targets and 17 people injured. The attack marks a significant escalation in bringing the fighting deep into Russian territory.
