Defense Minister Israel Katz met yesterday with 'Likud Women' in his office at the Kirya in Tel Aviv, while the IDF struck targets in southern Lebanon. The strike came after two IDF soldiers were killed by an explosive device and four others were wounded. Mazal Mika Rochman published a photo from the meeting and wrote that 'after the conversation with him, we gained even more confidence.' The minister claims that the political meeting took place before the tensions in Lebanon, but the law prohibits using government offices for election propaganda. Additionally, Katz cleared his schedule yesterday morning for a meeting with two rabbis, Rabbi Lior and Rabbi Mazuz. In his response, the minister stated that the office decided to hold the meeting at the Defense Ministry due to a busy security schedule and heightened security, and that the meeting with Rabbi Mazuz was intended to receive a blessing for IDF soldiers.
