Amer Ibrahim al-Quran, a young man in his 20s, was murdered last night (Thursday) in a shooting in Kseifa, near Arad. Two other people were lightly wounded. Security camera footage shows al-Quran entering his car outside a supermarket after waiting for a friend. A white van tried to block his path, and after he attempted to flee, three masked individuals got out of the van and fired at him. The wounded were taken to Soroka Hospital, where al-Quran died of his wounds. Police arrested two Bedouin community residents on suspicion of involvement, and the background is a criminal dispute between two factions in the same family. The murder interrupted a period of about three weeks without murders in Arab society. According to Abraham Initiatives, 158 Arabs have been killed since the beginning of 2026 in circumstances related to crime.
