Reserve soldiers of the paratrooper brigade conducted an operation in the southern Gaza Strip, detaining a fighter from the Nukhba special unit, who was involved in the mass murders. According to operational information, the wanted man got a job at a local transport company and worked as a truck driver, daily transporting humanitarian aid through the Kerem Shalom crossing. After receiving intelligence, IDF forces set up an ambush, blocked the truck, and detained the fighter without a fight. After the arrest, he was handed over to Shin Bet specialists for interrogation. The Israel Defense Forces, together with Shin Bet, continue the systematic search for all participants in the October 7 attack. It is noted that the regulations for conducting such operations have recently changed: according to a new directive from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the elimination of key participants now requires coordination with the highest political leadership or personally with the Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, whereas previously decisions were made at the level of division command or the Southern Military District.
