In the trial of reserve soldier Aviad Priga, accused of causing the death of Yuval Kastelman, ambulance driver Eran Patzky testified yesterday (Sunday) at the military court. Patzky stated that Kastelman was evacuated from the scene alive and fully conscious, and although unable to speak due to a jaw injury, he communicated with the medical team through body language. When asked where it hurt, he pointed to his face. This testimony definitively refutes claims of a "kill confirmation." Additionally, Patzky testified that after the evacuation, he found a coat in the ambulance but did not identify it as the coat seen on Kastelman's body in real-time footage. According to him, the coat he found was black, while the coat in the image appeared blue. This testimony is significant regarding the military prosecution's claim that the absence of bullet holes in the examined coat may indicate the fatal shooting occurred after Kastelman removed the coat. Priga's defense attorneys argue that the testimony undermines the coat identification and invalidates this factual link. They called on the Military Advocate General to reconsider the case management, claiming the indictment is a "grave injustice."
