Months after his release from prison in Algeria, the famous Algerian-French writer Boualem Sansal spoke today (Wednesday) with Kan News on Reshet Bet in an exclusive interview. Sansal, who was arrested in November 2024 at Algiers airport and sentenced to five years in prison for harming state security, was released after a presidential pardon under international pressure. He described the harsh prison conditions and his support for Israel, which he says was the real reason for his imprisonment. Sansal expressed his intention to visit Israel and sue the Algerian president in an international court if he does not receive a fair retrial.
