The statement indicated that Hamed had a long career in resistance work and was one of the members of the Salwad Qassam cell that carried out nine operations during the Al-Aqsa Intifada, resulting in the killing of six Israelis, most of them soldiers. Hamed continued his activity after moving to the Gaza Strip following his release from occupation prisons as part of the "Wafa al-Ahrar" deal. The Brigades praised Hamed as one of the leaders of the West Bank and called on young men in the West Bank to continue his path.
