The platform stated that it detected the circulation of messages containing suspicious electronic links, confirming that these messages are not related to the programme, but rather aim to lure citizens into entering malicious links used to hack mobile phones, steal accounts and personal data, and may later be exploited for extortion or information gathering. Al-Haris urged citizens not to click on any unknown links or enter their personal data or passwords via untrusted websites, stressing the need to rely on official channels for information about assistance.
