Ahead of White House meeting: Peace Now puts up truck with anti-Netanyahu sign

The Peace Now movement has placed an advertising truck with a giant billboard near the White House, ahead of the meeting between Trump and Netanyahu. The sign carries a message calling not to trust Netanyahu, and accuses the Israeli government of a policy of annexation and settler terrorism.

Ahead of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, the Peace Now movement today (Tuesday) placed an advertising truck carrying a giant billboard that passes near the White House and the main streets of the American capital. At the center of the campaign is the message: "THIS IS NOT CHAOS. IT IS A PLAN." alongside the call: "AMERICA: YOU CAN'T TRUST HIM". According to the movement, "the settler terrorism raging in the West Bank is not the result of chaos or loss of control, but of consistent government policy that provides backing, funding, and protection for illegal outposts, farms, and settler terrorist elements operating against Palestinians to inflame the West Bank and turn it into another war front, as part of the messianic right's annexation vision." The movement calls on the American president not to legitimize the policy led by Netanyahu, Smotrich, and Ben Gvir, which, it says, endangers Israel's security, exacerbates violence on the ground, and removes any possibility of a political settlement.
