AFU captured a Russian who thought Russia was at war with the USA (VIDEO)

Ukrainian troops captured a Russian soldier who, according to his own words, believed that Russia was at war with the USA, not Ukraine. The prisoner said he was recruited in a penal colony, promised 2.5 million rubles, but only received 800 thousand. The group covered 28 km through a gas pipeline over two days, then surrendered to Ukrainian forces.

Servicemen of the 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces captured a Russian serviceman in the Sumy region. The prisoner said that before his service he was serving a sentence for murder and theft and signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense while in a penal colony. He was promised 2.5 million rubles but received only about 800 thousand, after which the recruiter stopped contacting him. The Russian group was sent through a gas pipe about 28 km long and 1.4 meters in diameter. The journey took about two days; due to his height of 1.89 m, the prisoner had to move bent over. After exiting, the group waited for orders for about two weeks, convinced by the command that there were no Ukrainian troops in the forest. While advancing, they heard warning shots and surrendered. The prisoner stated that Russian propaganda convinced the soldiers that they were fighting against the USA, not Ukraine. After surrendering, Ukrainian troops provided him with water, food, and cigarettes; he noted that he received white bread, which he had not eaten for about two months.
