Following the storm surrounding the contacts with Yoav Segalovich, Mansour Abbas clarifies that no decision has been made on his addition. Ra'am demands that the move strengthen the party and, above all, help grant legitimacy to its inclusion in a future coalition. Sources close to Abbas told Maariv that there are two main conditions for Segalovich's possible joining: first, that the move contributes meaningfully to strengthening Ra'am's electoral power and increasing its number of seats; second, defined as the most essential, that Segalovich helps create public and political legitimacy for Ra'am's inclusion in a future change government. According to those sources, without progress on the issue of legitimacy for cooperation with Ra'am, there would be no real value for Abbas in adding Segalovich. Abbas further clarified that any future step will be examined solely according to its ability to advance the party's goals, foremost among them replacing the right-wing government and integrating into the establishment of an alternative government, alongside advancing issues concerning Arab society, including the fight against crime and violence, the issue of house demolitions, and promoting civil equality. In the Arab street, the contacts were received with relative sympathy, and some see the move as an attempt to expand Ra'am's political partnerships and strengthen its position ahead of the upcoming elections.
