The video showed Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot shaking hands with Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen and MK Mansour Abbas – an event that never happened. Solberg ruled that the video could mislead the public regarding a political affiliation between Eisenkot and Abbas, thereby violating the prohibition on unfair interference in election propaganda. The decision came in response to petitions by the "Yashar L'Yisrael with Eisenkot" party and the "Choose in Israel" association. After removal, the party republished the video with an AI label, claiming the background audio is authentic.
