After Blot controversy: Minister Katz meets with forum calling for Oslo's cancellation

Defense Minister Israel Katz met today (Tuesday) in his office at the Kirya with leaders of the 'Returning Home' forum, Eliav Libi, Yehoshua Sherman, and his son Daniel, and clarified that the defense establishment will continue to expand the agricultural farm project in Judea and Samaria and establish additional settlement points. According to Katz, 'the farm project is a central pillar in the new security concept of the State of Israel after October 7.' The meeting comes shortly after the controversy surrounding Katz's intention to replace the head of Central Command, Avi Blot, a move that drew criticism even within the settlement movement and ultimately did not materialize. The forum promotes a broad and controversial vision: canceling the Oslo Accords and fundamentally changing the political division in Judea and Samaria. As part of the 'Hundred Points Plan,' its members seek to create a continuum of Israeli footholds throughout Judea and Samaria, and to expand Israeli presence also to the open areas of A and B. Forum members have met with several ministers and cabinet members who said they would work to advance a cabinet discussion on the issue even before the elections.
