A Hapoel Jerusalem fan is hospitalized at Beilinson Hospital with a suspected skull fracture, after being attacked yesterday (Sunday) by Maccabi Tel Aviv fans following the match between the teams. The fan's brother, who was also attacked, suffered severe facial injuries and was released from the hospital. Two other fans were attacked, one of whom is on the autism spectrum but high-functioning. Footage shows Maccabi Tel Aviv fans attacking Hapoel Jerusalem fans with pepper spray and smashing a car window. Hapoel Jerusalem told Kan News: "Despite the serious incident from last night - we have still not received any update from the police about the arrest of any of the attackers." A photo of one of the alleged attackers is circulating online, identified with Maccabi Tel Aviv's unofficial fan organization - "Fanatics." The chairman of the Football Leagues Administration said he views the incidents gravely and demanded the police go after the perpetrators. Israel Police stated that after the match, officers spotted fans attacking rival team fans, two fans were arrested on suspicion of throwing stones and were questioned. This morning they will be brought to court and the police will request an extension of their detention.
