After 16 Years: CEO of Victims of Hostile Actions Organization Ends His Term

Attorney Ro'i Cohen is ending his role as CEO of the Organization for Victims of Hostile Actions after 16 years, and will assume the position of Deputy and Acting Mayor of Ra'anana. Attorney Inbar Chen-Meiri will serve as acting replacement.

Attorney Ro'i Cohen is ending his role as CEO of the Organization for Victims of Hostile Actions after 16 years in the position and 22 years of activity in the organization. Cohen is expected to enter the position of Deputy and Acting Mayor of Ra'anana on August 1. He began his career at the organization as a legal intern, and later held a series of positions. In the last decade, he worked alongside the organization's chairman, Avi Moses. After the October 7 attack, he led the establishment of the organization's emergency and assistance command center, where hundreds of volunteers operated. Upon completing his term, Cohen called on the state to expand support for victims of hostile actions and their families. Organization chairman Avi Moses stated that Cohen was a partner in turning the organization into a central and influential body. Reserve Major General Gadi Shamni, chairman of the organization's Friends Committee, noted that Cohen worked to raise awareness of the needs of civilian terror victims. Cohen will be replaced by Attorney Inbar Chen-Meiri, who will serve as acting CEO of the organization.
