Actress Caroline Langford passed away yesterday (Friday) after battling a serious illness, at the age of 68. The time of her funeral has not yet been announced. Langford was born in London in 1958 to her father Barry Langford, who was a manager and director at the BBC. The family immigrated to Israel in 1972 when she was 14. Her big break came in 1980, when she participated in the prank film 'You Ate It' by Yehuda Barkan and Yigal Shilon, and at the same time was chosen by Assi Dayan for a leading role in his film 'King for a Day'. Throughout the 1980s, she was one of the busiest actresses in Israel, appearing in films such as 'Father's Madness', 'Am Yisrael Chai', 'Rape Testimony', 'Girls', and the prank films 'See You Around' and 'See You at the Beach'. Her personal life was intertwined with Dayan's; they married in 1982 and their son Lior Dayan was born in 1983. After two years they divorced and their son was sent to a foster family at Kibbutz Dvir. Over the years, she shared that she struggled with postpartum depression. Later, she moved to London and New York, where she met her second husband Michael and gave birth to a daughter, Daniela. After they separated, she returned to Israel and later settled in Los Angeles. Langford initiated her son's admission to a drug rehabilitation facility in the United States and accompanied him through the process. In recent years, she appeared in the series 'My Successful Sisters' on yes and 'Normal' on HOT, based on her son's life. Last year, she published the novel 'Walking on Eggshells'. She is survived by her third husband, Gil Bekenstein, and her two children.
