Acquired weapons and prepared for "D-Day": The terror infrastructure exposed, including a prisoner released in the hostage deal

The prosecution filed an indictment against five men from Jerusalem and Kafr Aqab, including a prisoner released in the January 2025 hostage deal, for establishing a terror organization, acquiring weapons, and planning attacks at a restaurant in Modi'in and the Azariya checkpoint.

The prosecution today (Tuesday) filed an indictment in the Jerusalem District Court against five defendants from Jerusalem and Kafr Aqab for establishing a terror organization, acquiring weapons, and planning attacks. According to the indictment, Rashid Rashk and Sabih Abu Sabih established a terror organization at the beginning of the year, recruited members, acquired weapons (a pistol and an M-16 rifle), collected funds, and located safe houses. The two planned to establish cells in Judea and Samaria and prepare for "D-Day" in early 2027. Rashk was released in January 2025 as part of the hostage deal. Abu Sabih is the son of a terrorist who carried out an attack in October 2016. The organization planned a shooting attack at a restaurant in Modi'in and at the Azariya checkpoint. One of the defendants was asked to remain in his job at the restaurant to carry out the attack there. The arrest of the defendants foiled the plans.
