'A toxic brand': US support for Israel 'collapsing' among Democrats and Republicans, expert warns

Prof. Yossi Shain, an expert on international relations and a former MK, warns in an interview with 103FM that bipartisan US support for Israel is collapsing. He says being anti-Israel in the US is a 'hot commodity' and that Israel has become a 'toxic brand' among both Democrats and Republicans. Shain criticizes the government for 'betraying' the Democratic Party and claims the 'genocide' campaign has penetrated the American education system. He also predicts no US-Iran agreement.

In an interview with 103FM on Monday, Prof. Yossi Shain, an expert on international relations and a former Yisrael Beytenu MK, warned that Israel is experiencing a deep erosion of support in the United States among both Democrats and Republicans. Shain said that being anti-Israel in the US today is a 'hot commodity' and that the idea that Israel and the Israeli lobby project strength has collapsed. He argued that people are running for the Senate on hostility toward Israel and winning. Shain also addressed Israel's relationship with the Democratic Party, saying that the Israeli government 'betrayed' the party by aligning with Trump after Biden saved Israel. He noted that the 'genocide' campaign has penetrated deeply into the American education system. Shain also stated that there will be no US-Iran agreement and that Israel has become a 'toxic brand' among Republicans as well. He warned that if Israel does not replace its leadership with one perceived as sane, it will not have supporters even in the White House.
