95 Palestinians leave Gaza via Rafah crossing for medical treatment abroad

95 Palestinians, including 34 patients and 61 companions, left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing as part of a medical evacuation coordinated by the World Health Organization. The Red Crescent transported patients from the Al-Mawasi field hospital to the crossing. The crossing was partially reopened in February 2026 under the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

95 Palestinians, including 34 patients and 61 companions, left the Gaza Strip today through the Rafah land crossing as part of a medical evacuation to receive treatment outside the Strip. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its teams transported the patients and their companions by ambulance from the Al-Mawasi field hospital to the Rafah crossing, ahead of their travel abroad. The Society stressed that its participation comes within its humanitarian role in supporting patients, especially as pressure on the health system in the Strip continues. The occupation authorities had partially reopened the Rafah crossing in early February 2026, allowing patients and wounded to exit, according to Israeli security procedures and conditions, within the arrangements of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect in October 2025.
