The Prisoners' Media Office, in a statement issued Saturday, documented 7 violations against Palestinian female prisoners in Israel's Damon prison over 21 days, between July 29 and August 18. The violations included raiding prisoners' rooms, abusing them, assaulting them with beatings and shackling, as well as isolation and forced removal to the prison yard. The operations focused particularly on prisoners Bushra al-Tawil and Abeer Odeh. Punitive measures included confiscation of clothes, medicine, food, hygiene products, and personal belongings. The prison administration also crammed 10 prisoners into a small room that can only accommodate 3 people, while depriving them of access to the yard and showers, amid a severe shortage of clothes and hygiene products. The statement affirmed that the escalation represents a systematic and ongoing abuse campaign. The number of Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons stands at about 9,400 as of the beginning of July 2026, including 94 female prisoners, over 350 children, and 3,244 administrative detainees.
