A 17-year-old minor from Jaffa was arrested on the night of July 28 after Tel Aviv YASAM officers noticed him riding a motorcycle on Ness L'Goyim Street in Jaffa, an area where entry was blocked. During a search of his body, about 50 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine were seized, hidden in his pants. The minor was transferred for questioning at the Jaffa police station, and after its conclusion, he was jailed. Since then, his detention has been extended from time to time. During the investigation, station detectives located four additional cases in which, according to suspicion, the minor sold dangerous drugs to various people in the central region and Gush Dan. Police claim that an evidentiary basis has been established indicating that the suspect operated as a drug dealer and that the amount of drugs he possessed was not intended for personal use. At the end of the week, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the minor, and his detention was extended in court. In the coming days, an indictment is expected to be filed against him.
