A 21-year-old Israeli woman, born in July 2004, was granted 40% temporary disability for five years due to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The decision was made by the district medical committee of the Medical Committees Department of the Rehabilitation Division of the Ministry of Defense at a meeting at Beilinson Hospital. The disability was recognized in accordance with paragraph 34A (d–e) of the medical criteria, based on PTSD with pronounced symptoms and significant limitation of daily functioning. The decision is valid until November 7, 2030. The woman began treatment only a few months ago after completing significant military service. Attorney Yair Treibish, representing her, reported this on social media. The disability determination grants the right to a monthly allowance, tax exemptions, full funding for education towards an academic degree or vocational training, monthly living expenses during studies, and full medical and psychological support. Also included are discounts on municipal tax, assistance with housing costs, and fixed grants. These measures are intended to provide the woman with financial support and stability for the next five years.
