379 children were injured in road accidents in summer 2025, including eight killed and 60 seriously injured. Haifa leads the ranking with 0.27 injured per thousand children, followed by Acre and Hadera. Jerusalem has the highest absolute number – 40 injured on average. The 'Or Yarok' organization warns that the number of fatalities could reach 50 by the end of the year.

A data review published by the 'Or Yarok' organization reveals that 379 children were injured in road accidents during summer 2025, including eight killed and 60 seriously injured. Haifa ranks first and worst in the rate of injured children per thousand children, with an average of 0.27 children per year, which is 16 children each summer. It is followed by Acre (0.25, three children) and Hadera (0.209, five children). Ashkelon (0.207, eight children) and Petah Tikva (0.205, 13 children) close the top five. Jerusalem recorded the highest absolute number of casualties – 40 children on average each summer – but in relative terms it is in 19th place with 0.12 children per thousand. Among the Haredi cities, Beitar Illit is in 23rd place (0.105), Bnei Brak in 32nd (0.07), and Modi'in Illit in 41st (0.02). Among the Arab cities, Umm al-Fahm is in 18th place (0.128), Rahat in 29th (0.081), and Nazareth in 30th (0.078). Yaakov from Or Yarok called for restraining driving speed near concentrations of children, and noted that more than 30 children have been killed since the beginning of the year, with a warning that the number of fatalities could reach 50 by the end of the year – a negative figure of 20 years.
