Israel entered the top ten largest inbound tourism markets. In the first half of the year, Israeli citizens accounted for about 6.9% of total foreign tourist overnight stays in hotels. In the first seven months of 2026, Israelis spent about 80 million manats (about $47 million) in Azerbaijan — an increase of more than 50% compared to the same period last year. The chief rabbi of the Sephardic community of Baku, Zamir Isayev, noted that Israelis can move around in complete safety, speak Hebrew openly, and feel like welcome guests. The local Jewish community is preparing to receive guests for the holidays of the month of Tishrei, organizing prayers, festive meals, and kosher food. For the holiday of Sukkot, hundreds of kits of the "four species" are expected to be delivered from Israel, funded by an anonymous Jewish philanthropist from the US.
