Ukrainian intelligence reported overnight that Russia is preparing to integrate 30,000 additional North Korean soldiers into the war. The soldiers are defined as unskilled personnel sent to difficult battles and suffering heavy casualties. Ukrainian President Zelensky warned that North Korea is receiving from Russia assistance in learning combat tactics, weapons upgrades, and field experience, creating a danger for other countries in Asia. Preparations for absorbing the forces began as early as January. In exchange for military support, which also includes shipments of missile launchers, Russia provides North Korea with funds, food, electricity, and military technology. Fighting continues: four dead, including a child, in shelling in Chernihiv, and Russia launched dozens of missiles and drones toward Ukraine.
