3 residents of Kfar Masar smuggled drugs to Jordan and were indicted in a precedent-setting charge

A joint investigation by the Central Unit of the Northern District and the Shin Bet revealed that the three made contact with drug suppliers, from whom they received 50 kg of hashish worth millions of shekels, intended for transfer to Jordan. Last July, the three drove a van to the drug handoff point, collected ten packages, and then threw them across the eastern border fence, where they were collected by the Jordanian side. For the drug export, they were to receive about 100,000 shekels each. The indictment was filed through attorney Ohad Cohen at the Nazareth-Nof HaGalil District Court. The penalty for the state sovereignty violation charge is up to nine years in prison, and this is a precedent-setting charge that has been filed only once before, in the south of the country.
