24-Hour Ban Lifted: Health Ministry Addresses Swimmers in Haifa

Israel's Health Ministry has lifted the swimming ban on Haifa beaches, imposed the previous day due to deviations in microbiological water quality. Follow-up tests showed normal levels, and the restriction has been removed. Swimming is permitted only on officially designated beaches.

On Wednesday, August 12, Israel's Ministry of Health lifted the swimming ban on Haifa beaches, which had been imposed the day before. The restriction applied to Carmel Beach and Students Beach. The cause was the results of seawater tests that revealed deviations in microbiological indicators. After repeated tests showed normal levels, the warning was removed. The ministry emphasized that swimming is allowed only on specially equipped and designated beaches. Thus, about 24 hours after the restriction was introduced, the beaches are open for swimming again.
